Address Details - Organisation

About this page

This related item page is used to record addresses for an organisation, including physical and postal. More than one physical address can be recorded, as some external organisations can have multiple addresses. For example, an organisation may have a centre in Smalleville, Middleton and Largeburg.

Menu path: RME menu > Setup > Organisations (Search) > Organisation > Address Details

 

Add an organisation

1.     In the Organisation record, go to the Address Details related item grid.

2.     At the far right of the related item, click Add.

3.     Complete the fields, using the table below as a guide.

4.     In the toolbar, click Save. To go back to the previous page, click it in the breadcrumb trail or use your browser Back button.

Description

ABN

Australian Business Number associated with the address

If the ABN Lookup Web Services feature is enabled in System Preferences, the below ABN Lookup button displays next to this field.

If the ABN Lookup web services feature is not enabled, an ABN can be entered but it will not be validated.

ABN Lookup

This button only displays if the ABN Lookup Web Services feature is enabled in System Preferences. Validation only occurs if the service is correctly configured.

When you enter an ABN in the above ABN field, click this button to validate it against the ABN register.

Responses: Valid, Invalid or Invalid ABN format

Address Code

Internal unique code for the address, generally sourced from a finance system for integration purposes

Important! Administrator note: This field is set as Required in the default Page View ORG002 but is set to Optional by default in new or custom Page Views.

Address Description

Additional information about the address, such as building or office name

Address Line 1

Address details

Address Line 2

Address Line 3

Business Name

Registered trading name associated with the address and ABN

Contact Email

Email address of the organisation's primary contact

Contact Name

Name of the contact person for the selected address

Contact Position

Position of the contact person for the selected address

Country

Country of the address, from a defined list

Indicates whether the address record is active and in use

If no longer in use, slide this to No.

Fax

Fax number for the address

Phone

Phone number for the address

Postcode

Postal or zip code of the address

When creating a new Organisation record, if the ABN Lookup Web Services feature is enabled and configured in System Preferences, and the ABN Lookup button is selected, this may be auto-populated. Auto-completed details can be edited if required.

Primary?  *

Default: No; Mandatory

Indicates if the address is the primary for the organisation, such as a headquarters or main office

State

State, region or province

Suburb

Suburb or town within a country for the address

Manage Address Details records

You manage related items in the core page. Click the Add, Delete and Export links at the right of the related item in Organisation.
