This related item page is used to define benefits that will be offered to recipients of a scholarship for the selected scholarship round, as part of the Scholarship Management and Payments Tool (SMPT).

Menu path: RME > HDR Students > Scholarship Rounds (Search) > Scholarship Rounds > Benefits

 

Add scholarship benefits

1.     In the RME Menu, select HDR > Scholarship Rounds. Search for or add the round for the scholarship.

2.     In the Scholarship Round record, go to the Scholarships related item and select the relevant scholarship from the grid.

3.     In the Scholarship related item, go to the Benefits sub-item.

4.     At the far right of the grid, click Add.

5.     Complete the fields, using the table below as a guide.

6.     In the toolbar, click Save. To go back to the previous page, click it in the breadcrumb trail or use your browser Back button.

Description

Amount per Student per Year (Full Time)

Editable when Applicable to Full Time? is Yes

Yearly amount payable to a full-time student

Amount per Student per Year (Part Time)

Editable when Applicable to Part Time? is Yes

Yearly amount payable to a part-time student

Applicable To?  *

Student residency type that the benefit is applicable for, from a defined list

Options: All, International or Domestic

If the benefit is applicable to all students regardless of residency type, select All. You can then only define one benefit for each benefit type.

Example: Some benefits are only applicable for particular residency types, such as health cover for overseas students (this is not offered to Australian students as the government health care system is provided).

Applicable to Full Time?

Indicates whether the benefit is applicable to full-time students

If Yes, the Amount per Student per Year (Full Time) field becomes editable.

Applicable to Part Time?

Indicates whether the benefit is applicable to part-time students

If Yes, the Amount per Student per Year (Part Time) field becomes editable.

Benefit Impacted By

Checkboxes used to indicate if changes to the enrolment will impact this benefit

Enrolment change options:

        Change of Study Mode

        Course Extension

        Leave

        Submission and Examination

A ticked checkbox indicates that the type of enrolment change impacts the benefit. For example, if a student takes leave, they may not be paid for that period. The impact will be determined by the SMPT rules for the university or scholarship level and the eligibility criteria defined for the scholarship.

An unticked checkbox indicates that the type of enrolment change does not impact the benefit in any way.

Form of benefit offered under the selected scholarship, from a defined list

Examples: Conference, Health Cover - Single, Health Cover - Family, Tuition Fee, Stipend

Rules:

        For each benefit type that you select, you can only define one benefit for each applicant residency type of  Domestic or International, selected from the Applicable To dropdown.

        If you select All as the Applicable To type, you can only define one benefit for each benefit type.Account the payment is made to, such as to the student's account or to an internal account
