You may not be able to change or reset your password via RME. It depends
on the authentication method used for your institution. If you don't see
an option to reset your password, contact your system administrator.
To change your password, follow these steps:
1. In the RME Login screen, select the option for a forgotten password. It might be something like "Forgot Password?".
2. An email will be sent to the email address recorded for your account. Click the link in the email to reset your password.
3. Define a new password:
• In the New Password field, enter a new password according to the minimum requirements, for example, it could require a mix of alpha and numeric characters, and be more than 8 characters long.
• In the Confirm Password field, enter the new password again.
4. Click Save.
Administrators: This is only applicable if the authentication method configured
for your RME system is Manual,
and for external users. For these users, you can also trigger the reset
password for via the Initiate Reset Password
button on a User record. To check your system authentication method go
to: RME > System > System Preferences >
Authentication Preferences tab > Authentication method. See:
