This sub-item of the Ethics Specifics related item is used to record number usage information for subjects used in research,  including numbers required, purpose, procedure, numbers approved and numbers used.

Numbers can be split by years and gender, or can be entered as a single entry for all years and genders.

This is a static page and cannot be configured in Page Views.

The Ethics Specifics related item to which this related item belongs is not used for Biosafety.

Menu path: RME menu > Ethics Search > Ethics > Ethics Specifics > Ethics Specifics Numbers

 

Add number details

1.     Ensure that Ethics Specifics details have been added to the Ethics record.

2.     In the Ethics Specifics related item, open the Ethics Specific Numbers sub-item.

3.     At the far right of the grid, click Add.

4.     Complete the fields, using the table below as a guide.

5.     In the toolbar, click Save. To go back to the previous page, click it in the breadcrumb trail or use your browser Back button.

Ethics Specifics Numbers: Fields

Year in which the subjects will be used

Approved Date

Date the subject numbers were approved

Is Approved

Indicates if the numbers have been approved

Gender

Which gender is required for research subjects

Age

Age of the subjects

Monthly Usage

Number of subjects used for research per month

Purpose

What subjects will be used for in research, from a defined list

Examples: Stock Maintenance, Human or animal biology

Procedure

Experimental, surgical or other method or technique used on subjects during research, from a defined list

Numbers Approved

Number of subjects used in research

Justification

Only displays if the Numbers Required field is configured for the category

Only displays if the Approved Numbers field is configured for the category

Manage Numbers records

You manage sub-items in the related item. Click the Add, Delete and Export links in Ethics Specifics.
