This related item is used to create and maintain cost centre details that can be used to integrate with an external finance system.
One or more cost centres can be assigned to a project. Cost centres are usually unique codes created by the finance system for each funding organisation in reference to a project.
eForm relationship
To allow cost centre details to be manually entered in an eForm template, add a DDA field or Custom RIC. There is no dedicated cost centre field available in RME Designer.
Field availability
For integration, searching and communication, field data in this page is available in:
· Project Advanced Search
· Core email templates and Significant Event emails
· Reporting Views so they can be included in reports
· RME API – Read Only
· RME Web API (field level details for the RME Web API are available in RME > System > Documentation > Web API Routes > Project Cost Centre)
Menu path: RME menu > Projects (search) > Project > Cost Centres
1. In the Project record, open the Cost Centres related item.
2. At the far right of the related item, click Add.
3. Complete the fields, using the table below as a guide.
Select the organisation first, then define the cost centre.
For a new cost centre, if there are one or more active Significant Events
for the project with the Event Type
defined as either Invoice or Journal, a message will ask if you
want to add the new cost centre to them.
• If Yes, the cost centre is saved in the related item and also added in the Cost Centre section of these event records.
• If No, the new cost centre is saved in the related item only.
• If Cancel, nothing is saved; the message is closed.
You cannot update or delete a Cost Centre related item if it was used in a Significant Event that now has a Completed status.
4. In the toolbar, click Save. To go back to the previous page, click it in the breadcrumb trail or use your browser Back button.

You manage related items in the core page. Click the Add, Delete and Export links at the right of the related item in the Project record.
