About this help page

Reports can be designed in RME Designer to extract information from the system.

This help page explains how to search for and view RME reports via the Reports toolbar button in core search results and record pages, and eForm listing pages. The display is dynamic. If you are viewing a core module page, it will provide access to reports for core details for that module.  If you are viewing an eForm listing page, it will provide access to reports about multiple eForms from that domain. If you are viewing an individual eForm, you can generate a report via the View Options action button, Reports tab.

You can only view reports that have been assigned to your role/s.

These reports are different to Crystal reports.

Administrators: Reports can be used with the Scheduled Tasks feature, which enables you to schedule system emails or reports to be sent automatically to recipients on a pre-defined date or time

View an RME report

To view a report, follow the steps below:

1.     In a core search results or record page, or an eForm domain listing page, click the Reports button in the toolbar.
If viewing an individual eForm, select the View Options action button. see: View options and reports for an eForm > Reports.

2.     A popup displays in which you can select the type of report to view for that core module or eForm domain.

3.     In the Report Group dropdown, select the relevant group for the report.

4.     Select a report from the list for the selected group. It will display in a separate browser window. Reports with a lot of data may take few minutes to display.

5.     If there are Report Parameters that allow you to filter the report content, they may be shown on the left or bottom of the report. For example, a large report may allow you to filter the report data by AOU or by a defined date range. Not all reports include report parameters. See: Adjust Report Parameters below. To export a report with parameters as a PDF, ensure that you have completed the parameter fields or the PDF will be blank.

Adjust Report Parameters

If Report Parameters are included in a report, they are shown in a box with a scroll bar.

1.     To clear the report parameters, for example, when there is a long list, remove just one parameter by clicking the cross on the right of it. This will enable to Reset button.

2.     Click the Reset button to clear all report parameters.

3.     Click in a blank space in the parameter box to display a dropdown of report parameters. Select one or more parameters from the list.

4.     Click Submit to view the filtered report.

5.     To return to the original report parameters, reload the page (for example, right-click the page and select Reload).

Note that adjustments made in the Report Parameters section are not saved.
