About this page

This page is used to add, run or manage the details of a Crystal report in RME.

Menu path: RME > Crystal > Crystal Reports

To run a Crystal report

1.     In the Crystal Report search page, search for the report.

2.     Open the report via the Open icon.

3.     Click the Run Report button. The report will display in a separate window.

 

Add a Crystal report

1.     In the Crystal Report search page, click New in the toolbar.

2.     Complete the fields, using the table below as a guide.

3.     In the Report File section, upload the report file.

4.     In the toolbar, click Save. To run the report, click Run Report. The report will display in a separate window.

Crystal Reports: Fields

Default Field Label

Description

Current?

Indicates if the report is current and can be selected by users with report access

If the report is no longer current, slide this to No.

Group *

Mandatory

Group that the report belongs to, as defined for your institution

To create a new group, select Create New.

New Group

Only displays if Create New is selected in the Group field

Name of the new group, according to your institution's requirements or schema

Report Description

What the report displays or is used for

Report File

File for the Crystal Report

        The file storage, maximum file size and allowed file types are set in System Preferences.

        If antivirus scanning is enabled in System Preferences, the file will only be uploaded if it passes the scan.

        It may be possible to save without being uploaded if the field is not set as Mandatory in page view.

        The system will allow you to upload a document with the same filename more than once so it may be useful to ensure that the filename is unique to distinguish it from others in the record.

Report Name *

Mandatory

Name of the report that will be listed for users to select

Run Report

Runs the report added in the Report File field
