This page is used to define rule variations to the university level rules for specific scholarship-type fund schemes. Scholarship level rules will override university rules.

Menu path: RME > HDR Students > SMPT Rules > Scholarship Level Rules

 

Define Scholarship Level Rules

1.     In the RME Menu, select HDR > SMPT Rules.

2.     Select the Scholarship Level Rules tab.

3.     In the toolbar, click the New button.

4.     Complete the fields, using the table below as a guide.

5.     In the toolbar, click Save. To go back to the previous page, click it in the breadcrumb trail or use your browser Back button.

Description

Leave types impacting scholarship calculation

Indicates the types of leave that may change the scholarship benefits provided to the recipient

You can tick one or more checkboxes.

If ticked, any change to the leave type will trigger re-calculation of benefits based on eligibility rules defined for the scholarship.

Note  The checkbox list displayed in this page is based on the Leave Types > Standard category, but it is static. The list does not change if a particular leave category item is changed to non-current. If a leave category item is changed to be non-current and then also un-selected in this SMPT rules page, any in-progress leave applications will be processed without any re-calculation. If it remains selected in this page, any in-progress applications will be processed, however no new applications can be created with the leave category item as it has become non-current.

Code that identifies the scholarship

Lookup to search for and add a scholarship from a list of available fund schemes marked with the Type: Scholarship

Must be unique; you cannot select a scholarship that has already had rules defined.

Set Custom Leave Types

Indicates whether to use the same leave types defined in the university level rules, or define different leave types for the scholarship

If Yes, the checkboxes for leave types become editable. Selected leave types will override the university-set leave types.

If No, the leave types defined in the university rules are used; the checkboxes will be read-only.

 

Excluded Courses

This related item is used to define any courses that are excluded from a scholarship. Scholarship will only be offered for eligible courses.

To add a course to the exclusion list, go to the Excluded Courses related item. At the far right of the grid, click Add. The Create Excluded Course popup displays.
