This page is used by people outside your institution (not already a user in RME) to request external access to RME. This is an externally-facing page so that any public user with the link can access it. The link can be published directly in a webpage or portal, or be sent by email. The Register page also displays if a user selects an option for external users in the Login page, such as Click here if you are an external user, followed by the Register link. For an example of the Login page links, see: Example Login page labels
In this publicly available webpage, those wishing to apply for external access enter an email address as the username, create their own password, and provide their details.
For an overview of this feature including a video, see: External User overview.
Users that are not recorded in the system can follow the steps below to request external access:
1. Access the Register page (via direct link or the Login screen). If CAPTCHA is displayed, follow the prompts.
2. Complete the fields in the page. The Register button will only be enabled when the Terms and conditions checkbox is ticked.

Administrators can also re-send the confirmation email from a button on the External User record. See: Re-send an Email Confirmation email
