About this page

The Research Outputs module is designed to capture and manage details about the publications and other outcomes from research. This module provides flexibility to define any type of research output from traditional publications such as journal articles, conference papers or book chapters through to creative works, patents, designs and other type of peer esteem measures and awards.

Each type of research output can be defined as required in Research Outputs Categories page. You can also maintain supporting data for books, journals, conference names and publishers.

After entering output data and author information, classifications and other required information, the output can go through verification process if needed. Publications may be verified by personnel at up to three authority levels. Once the verification process is completed, the record can be marked as verified.

There are different types of research outcomes you can maintain in research outputs module. The most common are: books, book chapters, journals, journal articles, and conference presentations.

Note that records for books and book chapters must have a completed ISBN related item to display in search and lookups. Records for journals and journal articles must have a completed ISSN related item to display in search and lookups.
