This page is used to enter details about a research output (publication, other media or performance). In addition, a Research Outputs record can have a number of custom fields added for your institution.
Note that records for books and book chapters must have a completed ISBN related item to display in search and lookups. Records for journals and journal articles must have a completed ISSN related item to display in search and lookups.
Administrators: Add or manage custom fields for this page in Table Auditing - Custom Fields.
Menu path: RME > Research Outputs > Research Outputs (Search) > Research Outputs
1. In the RME Menu, select Research Outputs > Research Outputs to display the module search page.
2. In the toolbar, click the New button.
3. In the Collection Year and Category fields, select the relevant options from the dropdowns. The selected year impacts the options listed in the Category dropdown. Fields dynamically display in the page based on the selected category. To view details of the selected category to help you make your choice, select an option and click the Category Definition button on the toolbar. This displays the category details from the Research Output Category page if these details have been populated for your institution.
4. Complete the relevant fields in each section depending on the selected category, using the tables below as a guide. There are various sections in this page.
5. Click the Save button. When you save the basic details, additional related items appear.

When you save the research output details, additional related items are displayed. For example, you can add contributors.
All related items are listed in the Help Table of Contents to the left of this page. Help pages are also context-sensitive, so you can click Help on an RME page to view the related help content.
You manage core records from the module search page, Results tab. Select records in the grid and use the New, Delete or Export buttons on the toolbar in Research Output search.
