This related item is used to allocate Page Views to a user. Although Page Views are more commonly assigned via roles rather than individually for efficiency, you can allocate individual RME pages to a user specifically, or to change access for a particular page that is already granted to the user within the role allocation. User Page View settings override Role Page View settings.
If you have the required access to change your own User record, be aware that if you make changes to this related item and save, changes will be applied immediately, which may impact your access or permissions and result in limited functionality.
The Home page (WEL001) is automatically assigned to all users to allow access; it cannot be assigned or unassigned via Page Views.
You need to select each page that you
want to assign. There is currently no option to select a core record and
have all related items for that record automatically selected.
Menu path: RME > Users > Users (Search) > Users > User Page Views
To assign a Page View specifically to a user (rather than via a role), follow these steps:
1. In the User record, open the User Page Views related item and click the Add link to the right of the grid.
2. The User Page
Views page displays listing the available views, grouped by module in
a tree. Icons next to each Page View indicates whether it has been assigned
to the user
There are several levels to reflect the module, record and related items.
To find the Page View you want to assign:
Click the arrow icon to expand the tree.
Keep expanding until you find the page you want, then click that to display the detail fields to the right.
3. In the Access Type dropdown, select
the appropriate level of access for the user, using the table below as
a guide.
The Manage Dashboard page DAS001 is slightly different. See: Dashboards,
Access types and available functions.
4. If the Page View has Page Actions, select the relevant checkbox/es to assign actions to the user.
5. In the toolbar, click Save. To go back to the previous page, click it in the breadcrumb trail or use your browser Back button.
