Page View Actions

About this help page

When allocating Page Views to a Role or User record, some allow you to assign page actions for the page. For example, the Significant Events page in each module has a Significant Event Batching action.

If you have the required access to change your own User record, be aware that if you make changes to this related item and save, changes will be applied immediately, which may impact your access or permissions and result in limited functionality.

Menu path for Roles: RME > Roles > Roles Search > Roles > Page Views (Add) > Page Actions section

Menu path for Users: RME > Users > Users Search > Users > User Page Views (Add) > Page Actions section

Assign page actions for a Page View

To assign page actions:

1.     If you also want to assign a new Page View, follow the steps in Role Page Views or a User Page Views, then go to step 4 below.

2.     If editing a Page View that has already been assigned to the Role or User, go to the Role or User record. In the Page Views tab, click Add above the grid. A tree of all Page View displays the page details on the right.

3.     Select the Page View you want to edit from the tree on the left. There are several levels to reflect the module, record, related items, or eForm listing page:

4.     Available actions for the page are listed under Page Actions. Select the relevant action checkbox/es to assign the action to the role or user.

5.     In the toolbar, click Save. To go back to the previous page, click it in the breadcrumb trail or use your browser Back button.

Display Costing and Pricing Tool Button

For the Costing and Pricing Tool or ReCaP

Deselected by default

Enable or disable the Costing and Pricing Tool button on the Project record page so users can access the tool directly for a selected record

If this option is selected when assigning either Role Page Views and User Page Views, the behaviour of the toolbar button differs depending on which tool you use:

a) If ReCaP is used by your institution, users with the defined role/access will see a Costing and Pricing Tool (or customised label) button on the Project record toolbar if a record has been used with ReCaP. It will not display in the toolbar to allow creation of a new record for costing details in ReCaP. An eForm can be used instead to start the process.

b) If the Costing and Pricing Tool is used by your institution, users with the defined role/access will see a Costing and Pricing Tool (or customised label) button on the Project core toolbar to open the Costing and Pricing Tool if the record has an associated eForm that has been created to collect CPT details. The button is not shown on the Project record toolbar if a record does not have an eForm that is designed to collect costing and pricing inputs.
