About this page

The Panel Members related item is used to capture information about the people in a panel. Members are added individually to the panel.

Most of the member details come from the Personnel module but some fields can be modified to reflect the person's unique relationship to the particular panel. For example, you can modify the panel member position to correctly reflect the person's role in the panel but this doesn't affect this person's details anywhere else in the system.

Menu path: RME > Setup > Panels (Search) > Panels > Panel Members

 

Add a panel member

1.     In the Panel record, go to the Panel Members related item.

2.     At the far right of the related item, click the Add link.

3.     Complete the fields using the table below as a guide.

4.     Click Save. To return to the Panel record, click Close.  When the details are saved, related items become available: Panel Member Contact Details, and Panel Member Org. Unit

Indicates if this member is current for the panel

If the person’s association is no longer current, slide this to No. The person will no longer have access to eForms or meetings that have been assigned to the panel (unless they have additional access via a different current role or permission).

Days on other Panels

Type the number of days allocated to other panels per month

Days on this Panel

Type the number of days allocated to this panel per month

Ext. Organisation

Only editable once the Person Code is selected and saved; use either this field or the Organisation field

Lookup to search for and select an organisation from the list of existing organisations if the person is external

For an existing external person, this is populated with data from the Personnel module. These details can be changed.

Once you select an organisation from the lookup, the field becomes read only.

FTE/EFTS on other Panels

Time spent on other panels

For example, enter 0.8 if the person will spend the equivalent of 4 days full time per week on other panels.

The value in this field and the FTE/EFTS on this panel field must total 1.0.

FTE/EFTS on this Panel

Time spent on this panel

For example 0.2 if the person will spend the equivalent of 1 day full time per week on this panel.

Gender

Read only for existing members; editable for new members

Person's gender

Internal Weighting

Internal weighting for the person, as required by your institute

Involved From

Date from which the person is involved in the panel

Involved To

Date to which the person is involved in the panel

Order *

Mandatory

Determines the order of this person in the list of panel members

Change this number if you wish to change the person's position in the list.

Organisation

Only editable once the Person Code is selected and saved; use either this field or the Ext. Organisation field

Organisation name (text entry), if the organisation is not available from the Ext. Organisation lookup

If Type is Internal, consider entering details about the relevant organisational unit in the Panel Member Org. Unit related item.

Person Code *

Mandatory

Lookup to search for and add an existing person

If you cannot find the person and the Create option is shown in the lookup, you can create a new record for the person. In this case, this field can be edited if the code is not automatically generated.

A new Personnel record will be automatically created for the new person.

Primary Contact?

Indicates if this person is the primary contact for the panel

If you want to change the primary, edit the current primary to slide this to No, then set the new one as the primary.

Primary Member?

Indicates if this person is the primary panel member

If you want to change the primary, edit the current primary to slide this to No, then set the new one as the primary.

Type

For existing members, populated from the Personnel record but can be changed

Person type

        If the new person is External, enter organisational affiliation details in either the Ext. Organisation field or Organisation field after saving at least the Person Code.

        If this is not External, consider entering details about the relevant organisational unit in the Panel Member Org. Unit related item.

 

 

Manage Panel Member records

You manage related items in the core page. Click the Add, Delete and Export links at the right of the related item in Panel.
