This help page provides an overview of the Scholarship Management and Payment Tool (SMPT). This tool enables HDR/Scholarship administrators to create and manage a wide range of scholarship and funding details, such as scholarship funding rules, eligibility criteria, and payments.
eForm functionality allows HDR students to search for and apply for scholarships online. Application eForms can then be routed online for review and processing. For further details, refer to the RME eForm Designer User Guide, RME eForms Administrators Guide and RME Workflow Designer User Guide provided in the RME package.
Administrators can assign members to a committee involved in ranking scholarships at both the org. unit level (department, faculty or school) and at the university level. When an application is approved, a payment schedule can be generated and used to notify HR/Finance systems via event-driven APIs.
This is a licensed feature, available with the Scholarship Management and Payment Tool product key. To check what is licensed for your institution, see: Product Key.
To configure SMPT, scholarship administrators configure the following in RME:
• Set up scholarship-type fund schemes
• Define university and scholarship level funding rules
• Set up scholarship rounds, add scholarships to rounds, and define the benefits to offer
• Set up or define committees for scholarship review
Most of the fields used in scholarship configuration are available in the RME API - Read only. For details, refer to the APIs for RME document in the package.
Fields that are used in the Enrolment & Scholarship Application eForm template category to support the SMPT process for Heritage, Language Proficiency and Residency Type are available in the eForms API. Also see: Webhook
